Oman, China review cooperation in higher education
MUSCAT: Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Sarmi, Undersecretary, Ministry of Higher Education received in his office yesterday Cai Jianing, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Science and Technology in China and his accompanying delegation.
Higher education ministry bags European recognition
SALALAH: Adding yet another feather to its cap, the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) has received the prestigious ‘Committed to Excellence’ recognition for the second consecutive year from the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM). With this, the MoHE has become the pioneer of excellence in the government sector as it has emerged as the first organisation in Oman to receive this international recognition.
57.7 percent female student study at higher education institutions in Oman
Latest statistical data released by the Statistics Department at the Admission Center for the academic year 2014/2015 reported that the percentage of female students in higher education institutions in the Sultanate is higher than that of males, with 57.7% to female students and 42.4% for male students.
India, Oman to cooperate in education, tourism sectors
Muscat [Oman], Feb 12 (ANI): India and Oman on Monday agreed to cooperate in the tourism and educational sectors.
Both countries agreed to expand the cultural cooperation, including through regular exchange of cultural troupes and holding of cultural festivals.
